What Does IRS Publication 590 Mean?

 

It is a document published by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that provides information on individual retirement accounts (IRAs), including how to set up an IRA, how to contribute, the amount that can be contributed, how to manage distributions and how to receive tax deductions for contributions made to your IRA account. IRS Publication 590 also provides information on penalties that taxpayers might face if IRA rules are not followed properly.

There are multiple and varying differences between the many retirement accounts covered in IRS Publication 590, including Roth IRAs and traditional IRAs, especially when relating to the tax perspective of contributions.
